Rosacea Symptoms affect the cheeks, nose, chin and central forehead, with a transient or persistent red rash on the face that may include the presence of capillary veins called telangiectasia.

Acne Rosacea has the addition of pimply, papular lesions that may appear on the face, neck, scalp and even on the shoulders and back. Commonly accompanied by, comedones which are blackheads or whiteheads.

Is there a Rosacea cure?

Many of our patients' may claim their Rosacea is cured because they no longer see the symptoms of Rosacea on their skin. The reality is that these diseases are genetically linked and commonly the disease may return once the Rosacea triggers are reintroduced. This is where the education component of our treatment program is essential in teaching the patient not to make the mistakes they've made in the past and then perhaps there will be some justification in the statement, "my rosacea is cured".
